Himachal pradesh is specially known for, "lands of Gods"and "beautiful hill state of India ".

Meaning of Himachal pradesh:::

Himachal Pradesh is a state in Northern India.  Hima means snow in Sanskrit, and the literal meaning of the state's name is In the lap of Himalayas. It was named by one of the great Sanskrit scholars of Himachal Pradesh, Acharya Diwakar Datt Sharma.

History of Himachal pradesh::-

Himachal Pradesh is located in north India and became 18th state of India. Himachal Pradesh was established in 1948 as a Chief Commissioner's Province within the Union of India. The Himachal History The province comprised the hill districts around Shimla and southern hill areas of the former Punjab region.
